While traveling around Peru, Lauren told me that she had a friend who lived in Cusco and could show us around like a local. Not knowing what to expect, I listened to Lauren and started to follow John. Then I found myself at local tasting points that I would never find on websites. All delicious little snacks, I had the chance to experience Ceviche, a famous dish that I can actually find everywhere, in a local restaurant. When was I going to come to Peru again? So this experience was great for me.
For 2 days I traveled to a country where I did not speak the native language of the local people.
When I travel to other countries, I like to research every detail, but I can never be like a local person. I want to get that comfort I feel when I travel to my own country every time.
And this is because I am a local and I am traveling to a country where my mother tongue is spoken, right? I know where I can taste the local delicacies or which road I can take to get more experience.
But what if I had the chance to make someone else experience it? Just like in Peru. And how would that happen?
